Chateau Vieux Chaigneau 2012 Lalande de Pomerol, France
Varieties: 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc
Alcohol: 14%
Oak: Aged for 12 months in barrels
Tasting Notes
Nose: Its bouquet reveals aromas of ripe fruit (grape, cherry, strawberry ...) that mingle with notes of liquorice and spices.
Palate: On the palate, soft, silky tannins accompany a wine full of roundness. The woody aromas gradually give way to notes of leather and liquorice which form a long finish. This warm vintage has produced a gourmet wine where the ripe grapes are based on a suave barrel.
